At Hopeview we take pride in transferring skills and knowledge to our diverse learners who are affected by learning difficulties/disabilities. In the absence of right teaching tools, teaching learners with various forms of special needs can be an arduous task. Hence why the coming in of a special teacher Anne Marie Endresen from Norway recently to enhance and build capacity to our teachers was such a great way to end the year. Anne Marie has over thirty years teaching experience in special education. She visited Hopeview between Oct and Nov this year as a volunteer. She drilled our teachers with practical skills and knowledge specifically touching on approaches and methods that can enhance the Quality of Life (QoL) for children with developmental disorders/delays and help them develop and learn.
At Hopeview, we do child assessments, identification of learning gaps and offer a structured approach to lifelong learning. Cognizant of every child’s unique needs and abilities, we use one-on-one approach teaching method to ensure learners are reaching their fullest potential. Visit us to learn more and experience the warmth and compassion of our dedicated staff. We do our best in quest of leaving no one behind.
Despite its successes, Hopeview faces significant challenges that threaten its ability to serve communities effectively. These range from transportation of children, insufficient nutritional support and inadequate teaching materials, specifically augmentative and assistive technology devices that aid in teaching learners with learning difficulties.
As Hopeview continues to navigate through these challenges, the need for support has never been more urgent and befitting. From financial donations to volunteer opportunities, every contribution makes a difference in the lives of the learners who rely on Hopeview services.
Together we can ensure that Hopeview remains a shining light of hope and support for every child or young people with learning difficulties in the community.
